Before We Go…
1.Do You Have a Defined Brand Voice?
You know when you hear an ad and can immediately tell who it’s from based on the language, tone, and music?
Or when you come across a social post that’s captivating less because of what it’s saying and more because of how it’s said and how it makes you feel?
Brands that have this figured out are clear on what their brand voice is.
Here’s how to define and document yours.
2. ICYMI: The Reason for Memorial Day
In anticipation of Memorial Day, we’re reminding you of this short (but important) EO Report article as you prepare your communications materials. Here it is, in full:
National holidays of honor need continual communications efforts to remain understood and celebrated. If you had to stand and present the meaning of Memorial Day right now, would you know what to say?
From the National Archives:
Memorial Day is designated as an annual day of remembrance to honor all those who have died in service to the United States during peace and war.

3. Spotted
Just like anything, America has a brand. One Reddit post asked foreigners what items in their country had been branded “American.” For example, in Norway, a frozen bag of mixed vegetables is labeled as an “American mix.” Cool Ranch Doritos are labeled as “Cool American Flavor” in other countries. 4. Before We Go…
From The New York Times: Cursive Club, where students learn with a flourish
Cursive was eliminated from Common Core standards, but many are concerned that this loss of knowledge will result in a generation that can’t sign their names, write checks, or read historical documents. So, clubs across the country have emerged to teach this skill.
To turn YouTube content creation into a business, videos need to consistently get millions of clicks. Many of the biggest creators are turning to advisors who delve into the data and fine-tune an algorithm-friendly strategy.
From Social Media Today: Grok downloads fall nearly 60%
“Downloads of X’s separate Grok app have declined significantly in recent months, pointing to an uphill battle for Elon Musk’s xAI project as it looks to compete with bigger players in the market.”
