Brandon Sanderson understands that responsibility deeply.

Sanderson is one of the most beloved fantasy authors of our time. With more than 70 published books, he has built expansive worlds and a fanbase who always wants more. They dress as his characters. They travel to conventions. They form communities with inside jokes and theories about what’s coming next.

And over time, Sanderson began to notice something else.

Too often, he would hear from families of readers who loved his books, only to learn that those readers had died by suicide.

As a storyteller and world-builder, Sanderson recognized a responsibility. He understood the power of stories not just to entertain, but to anchor people and give them something to hold onto.

So he chose to act.

  • The famously low-tech but effective speed aggregator is offering a new technical tool: an app. And, on brand, the Drudge Report doesn’t share a story or news release, just the info with a link to the App Store.

From MSN: ChatGPT started the AI race. Now its lead is looking shaky.

  • “ChatGPT is still the world’s most popular chatbot, but its grip on the multibillion-dollar race to rewire the economy with artificial intelligence has begun to slip. The number of users turning to the ChatGPT mobile app each month has plateaued since the summer, according to data from market research firm Sensor Tower.”
