1. Your Best Content Is Already Written

Let’s pull back the curtain on The EO Report for a minute.

The other day, I was combing through our Google Analytics to get a clearer picture of what content you—our curious, discerning readers—are actually engaging with. Why? Partly because I needed to fill our social content calendar. But mostly because I wanted to know what’s connecting.

What I found wasn’t surprising. A handful of articles give us a nice little spike in traffic every time we post them. Every time.

Why?

2. The EO Report is on Facebook!

We’ve been on LinkedIn for a minute, but now we’re expanding our horizons. If you’re a Facebook user, would you consider giving us a follow if we ask super nicely? (Please, pretty please?)

Here are two great reasons to follow The EO Report on our newest channel: 1) you can single-handedly take the account followership into DOUBLE DIGITS.  2) We have plans to take the lessons from the main article and expand the content in new ways. (So intriguing, right?)

3. ICYMI: How to Give (and Get) Good Feedback on Marketing Projects

There’s nothing a marketer wants to hear less than, “I don’t like it,” with zero additional context. This throwback EO Report story gives you tips for getting (and giving) better feedback to improve your communications products.

4. Food for Thought

A segment where we share some bite-sized insights from communications experts.

H/T to Drew Davies of Oxide for this find. Does LinkedIn’s algorithm have a gender bias? One test indicates that it could.

P.S. – If you spot something The EO Report should feature, send it our way!

5. Before We Go…

From Goblin Tools | The AI Formalizer

  • Need to make that email more formal? Less emotional? More sarcastic? Give this tool a try – it’s designed to translate the tone of your message. H/T to Rachel Sissel from Communities for Kids for the find!

From Business Insider | Companies are embracing a new hardcore culture. Here's what you should do.

  • Last week, in a memo to AT&T managers first reported by Business Insider, Stankey said the company was in the middle of shifting its culture from one defined in part by hierarchy and "familial cultural norms" to focusing on "capability, contribution, and commitment" to take on big challenges.

From The Associated Press | New study sheds light on ChatGPT’s alarming interactions with teens.

  • A new study highlights gaps in ChatGPT safety protocols when interacting with teens. Researchers posing as 13-year-olds found that ChatGPT often bypassed its own safety safeguards, providing potentially harmful guidance, including suicide letters, drug-use plans, and disordered eating tips, in more than half of the tested responses.
